  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

In Iran, the "election" held for the Islamic Consultative Assembly was successfully boycotted by the majority of people. Even the official government statement about the turnout, which always puts the number of voters much higher than the actual number, couldn't raise the whole turnout more than 41 percent, which included a large number of blank and invalid votes.

After 3 massive waves of public uprising, it has become clear that Iranian people cannot be fooled by the promise of reforms anymore. They want to overthrow the entire regime, along with all of its factions.

Almost all those who have been "elected" to the Islamic Consultative Assembly are among the Principlist faction, and known for their financial corruption, abuse of power, and anti democratic tendencies.

In another news, Afshin Hajipour, the singer of a famous song called Baraye [for ...] which became popular during the Mahsa Amini movement, has been sentenced to 3 years in prison. The funny things is: he has been ordered to write anti-American songs and study the writings of some mullahs as a punishment!

Other singers like Toomaj Salehi and Saman Yasin who have supported the anti-regime movement are still in prison, and have faced torture and various kinds of mistreatment there.

Iran stages a dismal election as Islamic regime circles the wagons

    The Washington Post

Voter turnout in elections in Iran hit what appears a historic low. According to unofficial accounts, only about 40 percent of the electorate cast a ballot Friday in separate votes for the country’s national parliament and the Assembly of Experts, the political body that will select the successor to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s 84-year-old supreme leader. An opposition boycott and widespread disenchantment set the mood, even as the theocratic regime pushed its citizens to come out to the polls...

In Tehran, the capital, as little as 11 percent of the electorate may have voted. Ordinary Iranians signaled their despair at a miserable economy, their anger over the repression of landmark protests in 2022, and their cynicism about a regime that disqualified myriad candidates who were not in Khamenei’s hard-line camp from contesting seats.

Added discourse to a world going mad. It would be well and good if the people Iran get the government they need, don't have a clue on the odds of that happening.
Be best if the UK and USA stayed out of it, this time.

In August 1953 "Mohammad Mosaddegh is overthrown in a coup engineered by the British and American intelligence services. Fazlollah Zahedi is proclaimed as prime minister and the Shah returns.[12"
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohammad_Mosaddegh

Mohammad Mosaddegh was a moderate Muslim, and a moderate socialist. By every criterion I respect he was considerably more decent than anyone else who has ruled Iran since.

Most Iranians resented the CIA coup that overthrew Mohammad Mosaddeh. When the Shah of Iran was overthrown they expressed their resentment by taking over the U.S. Embassy, taking U.S. citizens in the Embassy hostage, and causing a rise in the price of gasoline. This in turn resulted in gasoline lines and inflation, for which President Carter was blamed.

President Eisenhower made two decisions that did not harm him, but they destroyed the presidencies of two Democrat presidents.
